Archimed is a software program that consists of several modules:
- Database for efficient storage and retrieval of images.
- Real time video for rapid acquisition of images.I
- Image processing for image adjustment, annotations and display of images from any module.
- Report for rapidly integrating text and images into a printed document.
- Cartography for assembling several images into one single mosaic image and for importing mappings from Microvision software programs.
- Extended Focus for building a sharp image from images acquired at different focal planes.
- Movie and Sequence for recording sequences and movies and for opening sessions produced with the Replay software.
